ABOUT SUTRO
Sutro Biopharma’s patented Open Cell Free Synthesis (OCFS) technology can transform current research paradigms by providing a single, scalable approach to the creation and ultimately sale of novel proteins that vastly accelerates speed to market.
Our synthesis process has proven applicability for a wide range of proteins from the single digit kDa to approximately 100 kDa with up to a dozen disulfide bonds, including cytokines, antibody fragments, fusion proteins, membrane proteins and enzymes.
We are also working to create novel proteins and to add novel functionalities to proteins with a goal of improving their therapeutic profile. This commercially scalable technology overcomes important limitations associated with mammalian, yeast, and bacterial systems.
BUSINESS STRATEGY
Our strategy is to:
- forge strategic partnerships with established biopharmaceutical companies that are interested in developing novel or improved biopharmaceuticals faster and with better quality
- identify and develop select novel proteins or add novel functionalities to select proteins to improve their therapeutic profile
